Situated in Ballymahon Co. Longford, Cakes by Úna is a confectionery firm which specialises in wedding cakes of distinction and also makes fabulous celebration cakes.
Set up in 2004, Úna Flynn is the proprietor and she is a member of a well-known bakery family who have been operating in the midlands for three generations.
Awards
Úna attended the National Bakery School D.I.T. for five years. Her cakes have been exhibited at many National and International competitions and she has been awarded several Gold and Silver awards.
Úna has won awards not only for her overall cake designs but also specifically for her expert skills at royal icing, work in petal paste, sugar paste as well has her incredibly tasty cake mixtures.
Úna developed a HSE approved, purpose-built bakery and showroom in 2004. Many of her designs are on view there and the showroom may be visited by appointment.
